He abierto este foro para introducirnos en el àrea de las nuevas aplicaciones de los LEDs en todas las longitudes de ondas o colores. Al lgual que en el anterior debate, irè colocando informaciòn y subiendo documentos para propagar este tema y aumentar las posibilidades de desarrollo de nuestros paises con la creaciòn de empresas dedicadas a fabricar productos en esta àrea.

Lo primero que tenemos que entender es que no todo lo que està en la red acerca de las bondades de los LEDs es estrictamente cierto en su totalidad.

Digamos que cualquiera escribe y dice lo que quiera, en el entendido de una buena fe por delante.

Las investigaciones por internet deben ser guiadas por un cierto protocolo, el cual consiste en documentarnos con informaciòn lo màs cientìfica posible, y he aquì el valor de la calidad fuentes,

Debemos ir de lo cientìfico a lo comercial, subordinando siempre lo que podamos conseguir en las pàginas de productos en venta a la evidencia de papers citados en otros trabajos o lo que ha sido publicados en revistas especializadas o en empresas fabricantes de materia prima.

Solo me refiero a la necesaria certificaciòn del material estudiado.

En lo que me ha sido posible, me he sujetado a este procedimiento, algo estrictamente OBLIGATORIO cuando se trata ya de la aplicaciòn directa de los LEDs o LASER sobre la piel de seres humanos.

En este foro me presento con las mismas interrogantes que muchos de nosotros y con un alto grado de ignorancia.

Aprenderemos todos en la medida que haya una buena participaciòn y apoyo de los muchos invitados ha armar este rompecabezas

Summary

Background
Various reports have recently shown the efficacy of narrowband ultraviolet (UV) B phototherapy at 311 nm in the treatment of early stage mycosis fungoides (MF).

Objectives
To examine the effectiveness and tolerability of monochromatic excimer light (MEL) at 308 nm as a first treatment for early stage MF (stage IA).

Methods
Ten lesions from five patients with a clinical and histological diagnosis of MF were treated with repeated applications of MEL until complete remission was achieved or up to a maximum of 10 applications, with a cumulative dose of 308 nm UVB of between 6 and 12 J cm−2. All patients were observed every 2 weeks for 2 months, with a 1-year follow-up.

Results
At present, all patients are in complete remission, with no side-effects.

Conclusions
Based on these results, MEL can be considered a useful tool in the treatment of early stage MF.

What are the effects of Red LED?

1. Increases circulation

2. Stimulates the production of collagen .

ATP provides the chemical energy that drives the chemical reaction of the cell. Intense light therapy acts as a “photon supplement” to the cells. It allows cells to bypass the normal digestive and respiratory process to acquire energy for repair and the production of life enhancing enzymes.

7. Increases lymphatic system activity. A large number of lymphatic channels lie directly beneath the skin, and play a significant role in maintaining health and beauty of the complexion.. Lymphatic drainage helps the lymphatic system function more efficiently by facilitating toxin removal and improving skin circulation. The result: healthier, glowing skin and a more beautiful complexion.

8. Induces a thermal like effect in the tissue even though there is little heat produced by the LEDs themselves. The light raises the temperature of the tissue, which can kill or disable temperature sensitive bacteria and viruses.

VITILIGO: EL USO LEDS CON Narrow Band UVB

QUÈ ES UN "NARROW BAND UVB"?

UVB Narrow Band is a subset of the UVB Wideband or Broadband spectrum. The UVB band comprises the range of wavelengths between 290 nm and 320 nm while UVB Narrowband is a "narrow band" of wavelengths centered at roughly 311 nm.



UVB Narrow Band UVB is fast becoming the defacto standard in UV Phototherapy for Psoriasis, Vitiligo and Eczema

UVB Narrow Band causes less sun burning or erythemal effect than other treatments such as UVB Broadband. The chart above shows that the skin's erythemal (sun burning sensitivity) is at its max at around 297 nm and that UVB NB with it's spectra centered around 311-313 nm generates very low erythemal response. This allows the user to have longer treatment times before "seeing" an erythemal response. UVB NB is fast becoming the recommended treatment to replace Broadband UVB and PUVA. Most of Amjo's sales today are UVB Narrow Band units.

Clinical studies have shown that the peak therapeutic effectiveness of UVB to be between 295 to 313 nm and that wavelengths below (shorter) than roughly 300 nm are more likely to cause a strong erythemal response or severe burning. UVB Narrow Band is in the 311-313 nm range and causes less burning than shorter wavelengths.

For Psoriasis

Now dermatologists can gain the advantage over persistent and chronic cases of psoriasis with UVB Narrow Band technology. Narrow Band UVB has been shown to provide faster clearing of psoriatic plaques when compared to traditional Broad Band UVB.
